So I finally did it. I broke my website.
Details later, but know this: it corrupted my database. I had actually made a backup of the DB using Wordpress’s suggested plugin and emailed it to myself. Feeling confident, I logged in to recreate the site only to find that the only information inside of the SQL file was the name of the db and how big it SHOULD have been.
Spent about an hour drudging through caches from google, yahoo and MSN. Some interesting revelations there as well.
Long story short, I managed to save most of the site. And hey, it was time for an upgrade.
