Amidst the chaos that will be next week as I try to attend every event at WWDC, I’m also going to be working on some personal development projects as it will be my first “vacation time” since January.
I try to simulate diverse environments in my dev area, but I know that there are some unpredictables that can only be unearthed by beta testing.
Therefor, I’d like to collect the names and email addresses of anyone reading this blog who is interested in testing the following:
- new wordpress plugins (highly experimental, not meant for production sites)
- new wordpress themes (very stable, but layout might break until you can report the bug)
Ideal testers will have the following:
- working knowledge of Subversion (so you can check out the latest version) and a subversion client (Versions is out!!)
- a site running WordPress greater than or equal to v2.3
- some spare time to contribute to the projects in the form of bug reporting.
I don’t care what operating system/browser you are running, although IE users are an added bonus. It also doesn’t matter if your blog is publicly facing, as long as you accept the risk that your site might not function exactly as desired until I (or you for that matter) can squash the bug. You must (obviously) be running WordPress, and at least version 2.3 since that is when native tagging was introduced.
For all of the above, you will need to install my beta testing plugin that will add theme switching that only you can see, and some bug reporting tools.
