I know, I know, it has been way too long. Since the last time I made a real update (twitter roundups don’t count, y’all) I’ve redesigned this site, moved out of Philly, flew down to New Orleans to work on this years Rethink campaign with an extremely talented crew (more on this later), and graduated from school (!!).
This current rendition of elihorne.com was largely inspired by my new resume, which in turn was inspired by a lot of the minimalism I’ve been studying. A month or so ago I changed directions and decided that rather than plow ahead with freelancing, that a little guidance and structure would go a long way. My best friend Natasha, who has been a sounding stone for as long as I’ve known her, moved up to New York for an internship with a production company, and I will be joining her in two weeks time as a full-time employee of whatever design firm will take me in. In the long term I plan to return to freelancing, but only after I’ve learned the in’s and out’s of billing, scheduling, and project management.
While I work on getting my act together for this site, there are a couple places that I’ve been updating regularly. Namely, you should check out my Flickr feed, and my Virb profile.
Whats next?
- a tour of what makes this new design tick, including the permalink magic I maneuvered
- some portfolio updates, including a big one that should roll out on Friday the 20th
