Am I the only person out there who has non-stop problems with the last.fm service?
In case you haven’t noticed, my footer is (or should be) dynamically updated via rss feeds from digg, del.icio.us, and the aforementioned last.fm. By doing this, I’m guaranteed new content for my visitors even if I don’t write new posts. Or in this case, two columns of new material and one in the middle that says “empty list.”
All lists are running through the same plugin, so that can’t be the issue. Sometimes its up, sometimes its down. Well, mostly its down. Whats really strange though, is that the feed renders content when I go directly to it.
So whats the deal? Is the formatting somehow corrupting in translation? Is audioscrobbler.com just a sketchy service? Everytime I’m ready to ditch the last.fm service for something new, it comes back online. And I really like the service with its customized radio stations and artist mini-bios, even if its probably the worst software for the mac ever written (it won’t even load on my ppc and crashes constantly on my intel mac.)
What’s a guy to do?
