I have a doppelganger

Dear Eli Horn: I’d like to take this moment to apologize. I’m sorry that I’m the #1 google result when people search for you, despite the lack of an E at the end of your last name. It’s especially poignant since we both make websites.

Every once in a while, I pull up Mint, inspect the search results, and realizing that I’ve received over 100 unique visitors who were clearly looking for you (or simply didn’t know how to spell my name).

We are both 22-year-old web designers, although I’ve focused on web development in recent months, while you obviously have an affinity for print and clothing design.

I’ve known of you for some time, ever since I got addicted to vanity googling. You are an amazing artist, far more daring that I have ever been with my designs. Your site, Addicted to Colour, was the original landing point, although I’ve strolled through various other projects of yours. Like you, I made the shift from flash to semantic HTML, and I love your typographic sensibilities. Decay on Threadless is super cool, and I’m very envious of your designer interview with the company. There, I said it. Off my chest.

If you are ever in New York, or I’m in Vancouver, I’d love to meet and tear a hole in the time-space continuum. Drop me a line.

Also, honorable mention to Little Elijah (Eli) Horn who is currently battling Stage IV Neuroblastoma. Best of luck, buddy.
