4 of my best sites to date are coming out in the next week. First one out the gate is probably going to be the new version of The People’s Institute which will replace a version that was never supposed to last more than a couple weeks. Thankfully, this release will usher in a ton of new features and cool graphic directions. After that, a site I did with a Temple organization with unveil their new home. Can’t give you that link yet, but we are only waiting for content to be finished and stuck in there. Then a local Philadelphia company with massive potential, and Spirit In Action’s new site.
With my spare time I was able to put out a mini-site for a Lehigh University alum. who wanted a gathering place for other Class of ‘61 alumni. I love the simple clean background and getting the javascript countdown clock was a minor feat in of itself. Give the guy a chance to get used to the wordpress controls and learn a little HTML, he came off a .mac site with iWeb. One step at a time…
In “bummer” news, someone stole my new hard-to-acquire-radioactive-pink oury bike grips. I pretty much expected it to happen, but it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I had them in place for a full 4 days, only to lock up outside of a shoot for 3 hours and find the bars bare. $15 bucks down the drain. Next time I’m using Gorrila Glue.
Tomorrow I’m headed into the studio with our amazing soung guy Jared to begin remastering my grandfather’s piano cd. Shortly before he died, my grandfather (who was a professional musician for part of his life) recorded a full CD of his favorite songs. Armed with a tape-recorder and a kareoke mic, we tried to capture the sound. The songs are terrific. They say Jack Wholey like few things can. With a little EQ work, some hiss removal, and a little magic, this thing will be ready to ship out to all my friends and family that donated money to my film budget. None of it would have been possible with you guys.
But enough jibber jabber. I’ve got to get some sleep before my 9:40 - Basic Acting 200. STELLA!
